Back by popular demand, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram returned to the Rose Theater at Lincoln Center NYC to headline Blues Jam 2026. One of the most electrifying guitarists of his generation, Kingfish has redefined modern blues with his fiery playing, commanding voice, and unmistakable stage presence. 

Kingfish's band included a hand-picked lineup of veterans and rising blues stars... including JLCO saxophonist Sherman Irby, powerhouse vocalist Shemekia Copeland and soulful singer-songwriter Valerie June.

BLUES People was born during the pandemic… but the band members have authentically lived their truths - as lifelong working musicians, producers and recording artists for over 30 years.

After taking the NY-metro area by storm for 4 years with their incredible live shows and pro musicianship, the band has won the 2023 and 2024 North Jersey Blues Society International Blues Challenge… and were Semifinalists at the 2024 and 2025 IBC in Memphis!
